So, you’re thinking of entering the Westpac Auckland West Business Awards? Great! Here are a few tips on how to create the best awards entry you can.
1. Register your Interest
The first thing you need to do is register your interest in the 2011 Wesptac Auckland West Business Awards. Look out for key dates, we will give you a call and send you out an entrant pack, which will contain everything you need to know about the entry process.
2. Start a Business Awards Team
Put together a 'Business Awards' team at work or, if you are on your own, find other business contacts, a mentor or one of your professional service providers to help as a sounding board. You'll need to choose your categories and set aside time each week for the next several weeks (an hour per week should do it), to put together your entry.
Remember to leave time for someone to proof read your entry - independent feedback is invaluable!
3. Book your appointment with a Business Mentor
Gain support with your entries from our team of business mentors from Unitec.
They will assist you with:
- Encouragement and support,
- Choosing the right categories to suit your business
- Information that should be included in your answers
- Review your entries before you submit
4. Book your FREE Entrant Tutorials
The 2011 Westpac Auckland West Business Awards will kick off a series of FREE Entrant Tutorials that will run throughout March, April and May.
You'll get to hear straight from a judge about what they’ll be looking for! Hear tips from past award winners and share feedback with other entrants too. The format is very relaxed with food and beverages provided and the opportunity to network a little after the session.
